Comfy Cuisine: Spicy Cranberry Relish

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!   I know it’s really not good to try a new recipe when your family is craving all the traditional dishes, but this relish is worth a try.  You can cut the recipe in half, which makes about 2 cups.   

Spicy Cranberry Relish

3 to 4 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped (or to taste)

8 cups cranberries

2 limes, zested and juiced

2 oranges, zested and juiced

1-1/2 cup sugar

1 cup water

Salt and fresh ground black pepper

Put all of the ingredients in a sauce pot; bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce the heat and simmer until desired consistency, about 30-40 minutes.


I made a batch of stuffing (I really couldn’t wait), got some nice, fresh deli turkey and had my leftover turkey sandwich fix!
